Mistfall Hunter FAQ

Mistfall Hunter is a PvPvE extraction ARPG built in Unreal Engine 5. You take one of six Hunter classes into the Mist, fight monsters and rival squads over the same loot, and try to get out with it. Zones run at escalating tiers — Normal up through Chaos and Cataclysm — with deadlier enemies and richer drops the higher you queue. Spiritual revival gives your squad a window to bring you back if you go down.

Mistfall Hunter released July 29, 2026 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S — all three the same day, and included with Xbox Game Pass. The game supports three-player co-op and crossplay between all platforms.

Mistfall Hunter features six distinct Hunter classes, each with unique weapon skills, talent trees, and playstyles. The game's recommended builds for every class and weapon combination are available in the Build Guides section, covering skills, talents, equipment, and quick-use items by playstyle.

Mistfall Hunter is an extraction ARPG with permanent gear loss on death — if you die during a raid, you lose all equipment and loot you were carrying. However, Spiritual Revival gives your squad a short window to bring you back. Items stored in your Stash and Safe Bag are protected and cannot be lost.

Zones run at escalating tiers — Normal, Veteran, Elite, Chaos, and Cataclysm — with deadlier enemies and richer drops the higher you queue. Higher-tier zones feature stronger Corroded enemies, tougher Lizardfolk, and more dangerous mist lords, but also offer better weapon and armor drops.

Mercenary. The launch patch widened its perfect parry window and improved Sword & Shield PvE damage, so it forgives mistakes better than any other class and works well both solo and in trios — Sword & Shield stance for defense, Hammer stance for damage. If you prefer ranged play, Black Arrow is the best solo pick: its Hunter path pressures enemies before they reach melee range. Sorcerer sits S-tier for raw damage but demands better positioning.

Holy Weapons drop from Mist Lords and map bosses — each boss drops its own unique one with a fixed, build-changing exclusive effect you cannot reroll, so target-farm the right boss. Drop rates are low on Normal difficulty; Einherjar Mode is the intended farming method and significantly increases drop chances, also yielding Holy Forging Materials for upgrades. Unlocking Einherjar Mode requires the Dried Flower Knot item.
