FULL ANALYSIS →BOMBANANA! FAQ
BOMBANANA! is a 3-player online co-op bomb defusal party game by Lefto Studio. Your team is three monkeys with asymmetric information — one blind, one deaf, one mute — and you defuse bombs by combining what each of you can see, hear, touch or read. The puzzles are only half the game; the other half is building a communication system that survives the timer.
BOMBANANA! released September 2, 2026 on Steam for PC (Windows and macOS), published by TARK at $7.99. There are no console versions announced. The game launched to Overwhelmingly Positive reviews and includes 23 Steam achievements.
No — BOMBANANA! requires exactly three players, no more and no less. Each of the three roles (blind, deaf and mute monkey) holds a mandatory slice of the information: one touches the bomb, one reads the manual, one relays between them. There is no solo queue and no bot teammates, so bring two friends or find partners in the Steam community hub.
The Blind Monkey is the only player who can touch and operate the bomb but sees nothing. The Mute Monkey is the only one who can read the bomb disposal manual but cannot speak. The Deaf Monkey can see the bomb and talk but hears nothing, making them the relay between the other two. Every defusal runs through this three-way chain — our role playbooks break down the technique for each seat.
The game gives you gestures, an emote wheel, throwable bananas and even slapping. The Mute Monkey conveys manual rules through gestures; the Deaf Monkey translates them into words for the Blind Monkey. The system that works is a fixed gesture dictionary agreed before the timer starts — numbers as fingers, colors as references, a distinct stop-everything signal — never improvised mid-bomb.
Three: a Campaign with 30 handcrafted levels of escalating difficulty, an Endless mode with procedurally generated waves that keep getting harder, and a Custom mode where you can adjust bomb difficulty, the timer, which module types appear, environmental hazards and the number of allowed mistakes. Custom doubles as the best drill tool in the game for practicing module callouts.
