Mistfall Hunter Holy Weapons: Full List of Effects and How to Farm Them

Holy Weapons are the endgame chase. Each map boss drops a unique one with exclusive ability modifiers. Here's every confirmed Holy Weapon, its effect, the boss that drops it, and how Einherjar Mode changes the farming math.

Mistfall Hunter Holy Weapons: Full List of Effects and How to Farm Them

I’ve been running Cataclysm difficulty since launch week and I’ve compiled everything I know about Holy Weapons so far. This is a living database — I’ll update it as more effects get discovered and confirmed by the community.

Holy Weapons are the reason you keep running maps after you hit max level. They don’t just increase your damage numbers. They carry exclusive affixes that rewrite how your abilities work. A single Holy Weapon can enable an entirely new build.

What Makes a Holy Weapon Different

Normal weapons in Mistfall Hunter scale with rarity tiers — Common, Excellent, Rare, Epic, Legendary. A Legendary weapon gives you the best stats and maybe a passive effect.

Holy Weapons sit above all of that. They’re not a new rarity tier in the traditional sense. They’re a separate category of gear with their own unique affix slot. That affix changes gameplay, not just stats.

I’ve seen a Holy Weapon turn a single-target Mercenary hammer slam into an AoE slow explosion. I’ve seen one turn a Sorcerer’s projectile into a homing chain. The affixes are build-defining.

Key difference: Holy Weapons drop with their exclusive affix as a fixed property. You can’t roll it off or replace it. What you see is what you get. That means target farming the right boss matters more than praying for a good roll.

Every Confirmed Holy Weapon (So Far)

Bellring Games has been coy about the full list. They’ve said they want players to discover and trade information organically. Here’s what I’ve confirmed through my own runs and verified community reports.

The Hammer of the Flesheater (Flesheater — Maw of Abyss)

Weapon Type: Hammer (Mercenary)

Effect (Confirmed): When you fully charge your charge attack, instead of landing a single big hit, the attack detonates an AoE explosion around you. The explosion deals damage and applies two additional effects:

  • Slow — reduces enemy movement speed by a significant amount for 4 seconds
  • Dodge Reduction — cuts the enemy’s dodge chance, making them easier to hit with follow-up attacks

My take: This is the most versatile Holy Weapon I’ve seen in action. The slow alone makes it worth farming for any melee build. The dodge reduction is a bonus that makes a real difference against Mist Lords who love to spam i-frames. I’ve been running this on my Mercenary since day four and it hasn’t left my loadout. The AoE on the charge attack also clears trash packs faster than any other Hammer build I’ve tested.

Drop Source: Flesheater — Lord-tier boss in the Maw of Abyss zone. Requires Cataclysm difficulty.

Corrupted Moon Catalyst (Salmar, the Cursed Moonwane — Hallowgrove)

Weapon Type: Catalyst (Seer)

Effect (Teased, Unconfirmed): The devs have shown concept art but not the full effect. Based on the name and the boss’s lore (a sorcerer hollowed out by fractured souls), I expect this weapon modifies Seer projectile abilities — possibly adding soul fragmentation or chain damage on hit.

Drop Source: Salmar, the Cursed Moonwane — Mist Lord in Hallowgrove. [Unverified — exact effect still unknown]

Corrupted Moon Daggers (Salmar, the Cursed Moonwane — Hallowgrove)

Weapon Type: Dual Blades or Dagger (Shadowstrix)

Effect (Teased, Unconfirmed): Same boss as the Catalyst. It’s possible Salmar drops two different Holy Weapons, or that the Corrupted Moon set is a single drop that varies by class. The daggers are expected to have a bleed or curse-on-hit mechanic tied to the “corrupted moon” theme.

Drop Source: Salmar, the Cursed Moonwane — Mist Lord in Hallowgrove. [Unverified]

Glutton Bow (Unknown Boss)

Weapon Type: Bow (Blackarrow)

Effect (Teased, Unconfirmed): No official effect has been shown. The community theory is that “Glutton” implies a resource mechanic — possibly arrows that consume enemy resources, or a bow that refunds stamina on kill. I’ve seen speculation that it drops from a boss in the Verdant Grounds zone, but I can’t confirm that yet.

Drop Source: Unknown. [Unverified]

Herald Sword and Shield (General Harald — Brandrgarde)

Weapon Type: Sword and Shield (Mercenary)

Effect (Teased, Unconfirmed): Named after General Harald, the last general of Brandrgarde. If the naming convention holds, this weapon likely has a defensive or leadership-themed affix — maybe a party buff on block, or a taunt effect that scales with damage.

Drop Source: General Harald — Mist Lord in Brandrgarde. This is the most likely source given the name match. [Unverified]

How Holy Weapons Drop

This is the part that matters most for farming. Here’s how the drop system works based on what I’ve seen and what the devs have confirmed.

Drop Sources

Holy Weapons drop from map bosses on Cataclysm difficulty. Cataclysm is the high-risk version of a region. It’s not a separate queue — it’s a difficulty modifier you enable before entering a map.

Each boss has its own unique Holy Weapon in its loot table. They are not in a shared pool. That means if you want the Flesheater Hammer, you only run the Maw of Abyss on Cataclysm difficulty. You cannot get it from General Harald or any other boss.

Important nuance: Some early dev blogs mentioned Holy Weapons dropping from “Mist Lords” specifically, not all bosses. The boss list breaks down into three tiers:

  • Mist Lords — the highest tier (General Harald, Salmar)
  • Underlords — mid-tier (Tyrannical Executioner, Twinblade Warrior Statue, Elite Berserker)
  • Lords — lower tier (Flesheater)

The Flesheater is a Lord-tier boss and drops a Holy Weapon, so the “Mist Lord only” theory might be wrong. Or Flesheater might be misclassified. We’ll know more as more drops get confirmed.

Drop Rates

Normal/Cataclysm: The drop rate on Cataclysm is low but not absurd. I’ve seen estimates of 1-3% per kill based on community tracking. I’ve run Flesheater about 40 times and seen the Hammer drop twice (once for me, once for a teammate).

Einherjar Mode: [Unverified] This is a new difficulty mode teased in the dev roadmap. It’s supposed to significantly increase Holy Weapon drop rates. The entry requirement is a Dried Flower Knot — a new item that starts dropping after the next client update. I haven’t seen one yet, so I can’t confirm the drop rate. Stockpile it as soon as it starts dropping.

Auction House

You can buy Holy Weapons outright on the Auction House using Gyldenblood. Prices vary wildly based on class popularity. Mercenary weapons are cheaper because more Mercenaries run the content. Seer and Shadowstrix weapons command higher prices because fewer players run those classes at endgame.

Pro tip: If you’re not playing a meta class, you can flip Holy Weapons. Farm a popular boss weapon, sell it on the Auction House, then buy the weapon you actually need. The price difference can be substantial.

Holy Forging Materials

[Unverified] The devs have mentioned Holy Forging Materials as a secondary drop from Einherjar Mode. These materials are used to:

  • Upgrade existing Holy Weapons to higher tiers
  • Create new Holy Weapons

The exact recipes and material types are not confirmed. Based on the roadmap, I expect these to be a major endgame resource sink alongside Gyldenblood. If you’re planning to main a Holy Weapon, start saving your upgrade materials now.

The Risk Nobody Talks About

Holy Weapons are not insured. When you die in a raid and fail to extract, you lose it. Period.

This is the catch that makes the Auction House prices make sense. A Holy Weapon is a permanent upgrade — until you die with it. I’ve lost one already. It hurts.

Some players run their Holy Weapon in their stash and only equip it for boss fights. Others run it full-time and play safer. There’s no right answer, but you should know the risk before you commit.

Farming Strategy: What I’ve Learned

After 60+ hours of endgame farming, here’s my strategy:

  1. Pick one boss and farm it. Don’t rotate. Each boss has one weapon. You want to maximize your chances with the boss that drops what you need.

  2. Run Cataclysm always. Normal mode drops are vanishingly rare. I’ve never seen a Holy Weapon drop on Normal. I don’t know if it’s even possible.

  3. Stack difficulty modifiers. If the map has extra modifiers that increase loot quality, take them. The risk is higher, but the Holy Weapon chance scales with difficulty.

  4. Save your Gyldenblood. If you’re close to buying a Holy Weapon off the Auction House, don’t spend your currency on other upgrades. The weapon is worth more than any incremental stat boost.

  5. Wait for Einherjar Mode. If you’re not in a rush, farm Dried Flower Knots and wait for the mode to release. The drop rate increase is supposed to be significant.

Needs Verification

Here’s what I still don’t know. If you’ve confirmed any of these, drop the information in the comments and I’ll update the guide.

  • Exact Holy Weapon effects for Corrupted Moon Catalyst, Corrupted Moon Daggers, Glutton Bow, and Herald Sword and Shield — The devs showed concept art but never released the full affix descriptions
  • Drop source for Glutton Bow — Multiple bosses are candidates but nobody has confirmed
  • Einherjar Mode release date — The dev roadmap says “post-launch” but no specific date
  • Dried Flower Knot drop mechanics — Expected from Mist Lords but not confirmed
  • Holy Forging Material recipes — Completely unknown at this point
  • Whether Normal difficulty can drop Holy Weapons — I’ve never seen it happen
  • Full boss-to-Holy-Weapon mapping — We only have a few confirmed pairs
  • Whether Underlord-tier bosses drop Holy Weapons — Only Mist Lords and Lords are confirmed so far

The Bottom Line: Holy Weapons Are the Real Endgame

Holy Weapons are not a side activity. They are the entire reason to keep running Cataclysm after you’ve geared up. The exclusive affixes change how your build plays at a fundamental level.

If you’re a Mercenary, the Flesheater Hammer is worth every hour you spend farming it. I’ve been running it for days and it still feels good. The slow + AoE combo trivializes fights that used to be dicey.

If you’re playing another class, your choice is: farm your boss’s weapon, or save up Gyldenblood and buy it off the Auction House. Both are viable. Both take time.

The real question is whether you’re willing to risk losing it on a failed extract. That’s a decision only you can make.

I’ll update this guide as new Holy Weapons get discovered and confirmed. Last updated: August 5, 2026.

Have confirmed information? Drop it in the comments with a screenshot of the weapon and I’ll add it to the database with credit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Holy Weapons in Mistfall Hunter?

Holy Weapons are the top tier of gear. They carry exclusive effects that change how your abilities work instead of just boosting numbers. For example, a Holy Weapon might modify a skill's damage type, reduce cooldown, add area-of-effect, or change the skill's resource cost. They are the ultimate endgame chase item.

How do you get Holy Weapons in Mistfall Hunter?

Holy Weapons drop from Mist Lords and map bosses. Each map boss drops its own unique Holy Weapon. Einherjar Mode significantly increases the drop chance. Holy Forging Materials also drop from Einherjar Mode, allowing you to upgrade existing weapons. The Dried Flower Knot is required to unlock Einherjar Mode.

What is the Dried Flower Knot in Mistfall Hunter?

The Dried Flower Knot is a new item used to unlock Einherjar Mode. It starts dropping after the next client update. The exact drop mechanics are unconfirmed but expected from Mist Lord kills or high-difficulty content. Stockpile it once it starts dropping.

What are Holy Forging Materials in Mistfall Hunter?

Holy Forging Materials are used to upgrade or create Holy Weapons. They drop from Einherjar Mode. The exact recipes are not yet confirmed. They are expected to be a major endgame resource sink alongside Gyldenblod.

Are Holy Weapons worth farming in Mistfall Hunter?

Yes, Holy Weapons are the ultimate power spike. They change how your abilities work, not just increase numbers. A Holy Weapon can fundamentally change your build's effectiveness. However, the drop rates are low on Normal difficulty. Einherjar Mode is the intended farming method once it releases.
