Crimson Desert Kliff/Oongka/Damiane: Endgame Graduation Build Formulas

Master all three characters with these endgame build formulas. Learn why you should focus Kliff until Chapter 8, and the exact skill/core priorities for graduation builds.

Character build interface showing Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane skill trees in Crimson Desert

Kliff is the balanced protagonist with the most versatile toolkit. Oongka excels at crowd control and tanking. Damiane is the ranged/mobility specialist. For endgame: Focus resources on Kliff until Chapter 8 (Damiane is unavailable for much of the story). All three characters share stamina and health stats, so early investment carries over.

Resource Allocation Priority

Chapter 1-7 (Kliff Focus)

ResourceAllocation
Skill Points80% Kliff, 20% shared stats
Upgrade Materials100% Kliff gear
Abyss Cores100% Kliff
Gold70% Kliff, 30% saving

Reasoning: Damiane is unavailable for much of the story. Oongka has limited early game presence. Focus on Kliff for smooth progression.

Chapter 8+ (Balanced Investment)

ResourceAllocation
Skill Points40% Kliff, 30% Damiane, 30% Oongka
Upgrade MaterialsSplit evenly
Abyss CoresBuild-specific
GoldSplit evenly

Reasoning: All three characters become available. Build diversity matters for endgame content.

Added September 2026, current build 2.03.02. Everything above was written under launch-era scarcity, where skill investment locked to whichever character you happened to be playing. The free “Crimson Desert Enhanced” upgrade changed that:

  • Progress is shared party-wide. Learning a skill with an Abyss Artifact on any one character automatically banks equal Abyss Link progress on all the others. The “dead investment on bench-warmer characters” problem that justified the 80%-Kliff split is gone.
  • Respecs are per-character and fully refunded. Materials come back at 100%, so committing to a spec — then unwinding it for a specific boss — costs nothing permanent. The hardest-fights retest shows how disposable fight-specific builds have become.
  • Progress carries into New Game+. A reset before a fresh playthrough is pure profit.

What still holds: the weapon picks, core slots, rotations, and the shared-stat logic elsewhere in this guide. What changed: you no longer need to ration a second or third character’s skill budget “until Chapter 8” — develop in parallel and respec freely. The differentiator between endgame builds has shifted from which skills you can afford to which Abyss gear combo you run — with Ator’s Orb + Crow’s Pursuit as the current mainstream pairing. Full system breakdown: Enhanced skills and Abyss Link guide.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  1. Spreading resources too thin - Focus Kliff until Chapter 8
  2. Ignoring shared stats - Health/Stamina benefit all characters
  3. Buying observable skills - Farm boss observations instead
  4. Wrong Abyss Cores - Match cores to build role
  5. Not switching characters - Use the right character for each situation

Frequently Asked Questions

Which character should I focus on first in Crimson Desert?

Kliff. He's available from Chapter 1 and carries through most of the story. Damiane is unavailable until Chapter 8, so don't waste early resources on her.

Do stats carry over between characters?

Yes. Health, Stamina, and Defense are shared across all characters. Attack and Magic are character-specific. Invest in shared stats early for all characters to benefit.

What is the best endgame build for Kliff?

Balanced DPS with Great Axe + Dual Swords, Momentum + Crow's Pursuit cores, and Nature's Echo for heavy attack duplication.

When does Damiane become available?

Damiane joins in Chapter 8. Before that, focus 80% of resources on Kliff and 20% on shared stats.
