Craft Essential Starter Tools

Your survival HUD — monitor these gauges at all times

Upon exiting the Lifepod, craft the Survival Multitool and Scanner first.

Improve Exploration Capabilities

Oxygen is your most critical resource while diving

Craft an Air Bladder (Titanium x2, Rubber x1) for emergency ascents and a Standard Air Tank (Titanium x2, Rubber x1, Silver x2) to increase oxygen to 75.

Craft Basic Fins (Rubber x2, Fiber x2) for faster swimming, and select the Dash Adaptation from the Biolab.

Learn to Manage Thirst & Hunger

Water and Food gauges — both must be managed

Besides oxygen, keep an eye on thirst and hunger. Letting either deplete can lead to getting reprinted. Carry at least 3 Water and get the Digestion Adaptation from the Angel Comb (~160m NNE of Lifepod).

Visit Marked Blackbox Locations

NOA periodically prompts you to visit Blackboxes. Most contain scannable items and fragments for unlocking new Blueprints — make them a priority.

Build Your Base

Crafting the Habitat Builder — your key to base construction

Craft the Habitat Builder (Titanium x2, Glass x1, Basic Battery x1, Copper Wire x1) to construct bases. Build near resource-rich areas with water currents for power.

Tips and Tricks

• Pick up everything — some blueprints unlock when you pick up a new material, no scanning required
• Get Digestion Adaptation early — raw fish restores almost nothing without it
• The Wakemaker replaces your Flashlight — provides speed boost and built-in lights
• Get free Portable Lockers — lying around on cave seabeds near the starting area
• Use the Signals Tab — toggle HUD markers on/off to reduce clutter
• Distraction Flares work on creature groups — cheap (Titanium x1, Quartz x1) and effective
