Marathon Database — Weapons, Runners, Cores, Implants, Mods & Items

The Marathon database currently catalogs 35 weapons across 9 categories: Assault Rifles (5), Machine Guns (3), Melee (1), Pistols (3), Precision Rifles (7), Railguns (2), Shotguns (3), Sniper Rifles (5), and Submachine Guns (6). Each weapon has a rarity tier ranging from Common to Exotic.

Runners are the 7 playable characters in Marathon, each with a unique set of abilities: Assassin (stealth and invisibility), Destroyer (frontline combat with Riot Barricade), Recon (intel and drone tracking), Rook (opportunist mobility), Thief (covert looting with Pickpocket Drone), Triage (squad medic with healing field), and Vandal (combat anarchist with Amplify). Each Runner has a dedicated pool of Cores that modify their abilities.

Cores are passive ability modifiers that enhance a Runner's kit. There are 79 Cores across 5 rarity tiers: Prestige (3,000 cr), Superior (600 cr), Deluxe (200 cr), Enhanced (70 cr), and Standard (35 cr). Most Cores are Runner-specific, but Standard Cores are universal and can be equipped by any Runner. Cores are purchased with in-game credits.

Implants are stat-boosting augmentations that occupy four equipment slots: Head, Torso, Legs, and Shield. There are 78 Implants across 5 rarity tiers. Head implants boost stats like Prime Recovery, Tactical Recovery, and Repair. Leg implants improve Agility and Fall Resistance. Torso implants enhance Hardware and Finisher Siphon. Shield implants add shield slots or boost Firewall.

Weapon Mods are attachments that modify weapon performance across 6 slot types: Barrel, Grip, Magazine, Optic, Shield, and Chip. There are 57 Mods in the database ranging from Prestige (1,620 cr) to Standard (23 cr). Barrel mods improve accuracy and range, Magazine mods increase capacity and reload speed, Chip mods provide unique passive effects like invisibility on reload or bonus damage after sprinting.
