The Bottom Line: There’s no map in Subnautica 2. No minimap, no GPS, no quest arrow telling you where to go. You learn the map by getting lost in it — and that’s the whole point. Use beacons. Drop them everywhere. Name them something you’ll actually remember (‘copper cave’ not ‘spot 3’). The Shallows feel safe until you realize the Graveyard is 500 meters below you and you didn’t bring enough oxygen. Know your biomes.
