Core Walkthrough

Chapter 1: Wrenwood & Elbridge

Location: Hotel Wrenwood, Elbridge Streets
Playable: Grace (primary), Leon (Elbridge segment)

Step 1: Hotel Investigation

1. Follow the path to scaffolding, check the info board for Wrenwood Brochure
2. Enter hotel through alley, check kitchen refrigerator
3. Exit through back door to trigger cutscene
4. Take “Grace’s Photo” from wooden pillar near bar
5. Rotate photo in inventory to find Old Key taped on back
6. Use Old Key to unlock main hall door
7. Collect Map and Notice of Closure from reception desk rear wall
8. Retrieve Wire Cutters from toolbox on pool table
9. Cut wire on double doors, proceed to Room 204
10. Examine Polaroid on bed to trigger memory sequence

Step 2: Hotel Escape

1. After memory, locate rectangular painting on west hall wall
2. Move steel cart blocking access
3. Retrieve Folder from behind painting
4. Open Folder for Notebook and Floppy Disk
5. Zombie Cop encounter: mash button to break jacket grip, dodge left/right from shotgun
6. Pick up dropped Emergency Exit Key

Step 2: East Wing

1. Navigate to Blood Lab
2. Avoid Zombie Ambush
3. Reach Floor 2 Safe Room
4. Collect Corrosive from Conference Room office (blue bottle)
5. Return to melt East Wing Floor 2 office safe lock
6. Check two photos for background symbols
7. Code: Star, Sun, Moon, Sun
8. Retrieve Sun Quartz

Step 3: Star Quartz Acquisition

1. Collect Artificial Lungs from Garage Organ Transport Box (reference “Unlocking the Organ Transport Box” note for button positions)

4. Combine organs in Examination Room

4. Collect remaining Joint Plugs:

5. Retrieve Square Socket Wrench from Boiler Room toolbox
6. Collect Forklift Key from Processing corpse

Step 2: Processing Survival

1. Solve Inspection Room conveyor puzzle:
   • Pull levers to change conveyor direction
   • Time movements between zombie queues
   • Push crates to clear paths
2. Enter Processing area
3. Turn crank to drain water
4. Move constantly on conveyor belts
5. Shoot enemy legs to drop them into grinder
6. Retrieve final Joint Plug

Step 3: Rescue & Escape

1. Return to Holding Cells
2. Insert all three Joint Plugs into top terminal
3. Open Emily’s cell
4. Escape via elevator
5. (Optional) Return to elevator shaft for Severed Hand

1. Retrieve three Quartz pieces
2. Carry Emily, use Quartz to open Care Center gate
3. Enter VIP Suite
4. Wine Bottle Puzzle: rotate bottle top to align labels

6. Place model in podium to activate secret elevator

Step 2: Laboratory Escape

1. Access Victor’s monitoring room computer
2. Click “Authorize” to obtain Helicopter Key
3. Collect Disposal Tanks from wall attachments
4. Use spray on zombies during escape
5. Climb ladder to surface

Step 3: Church & Water Treatment

1. Switch to Leon for sniper cover
2. Enter church, defeat Blister Borne
3. Weakness: body blisters, kick melee available
4. Place Emily in Storage Bay
5. Activate three Power Distribution Units:
   • Storage area
   • Control room
   • Chemical processing area
6. Use Requiem gun and lights to repel The Girl during activation

Step 4: Final Confrontation

1. Take elevator to top level
2. Open skylight
3. Use Requiem bullets to finish The Girl
4. As Leon, shoot mutated Emily’s exposed heart

Step 2: BSAA Central Camp

1. Activate yellow generator for power
2. Obtain Tactical Tracker
3. Earn combat credits by killing enemies

Step 3: Detonator Components

Distributor:

1. Go to Logistics Warehouse
2. Climb to high shelf for Cedarbrook Apartments Key
3. Go to roof for Distributor

Signal Receiver:

1. Collect two Batteries:

2. Insert batteries to open garage shutter
3. Collect Broken Signal Receiver

Relay:

1. Collect Gas Can from Gas Station roof
2. Fuel generator at Gas Station
3. Activate zipline
4. Go to Willis Tower
5. Navigate elevator shaft (veer left, then right to avoid falling elevators)

7. Climb to top for Relay

Step 4: Grimstone Building

1. Shoot both crane hooks to lower bridge
2. Turn wheel to lower bridge while clearing zombies

• Shoot main flower stamen

1. Switch to Grace to rescue Leon

Time Limits & Special Mechanics

• Emily translation defense: Must survive zombie waves until Braille translation completes
